We’ve launched ActiveGsy to capture the spirit and culture of our active lifestyles.
It’s all about why we do what we do, collecting together stories that will celebrate the island.
ActiveGsy will provide a voice to participants who would normally be lost in the rush to say who won.

We’re keen to shine a light on the worlds of running, cycling, triathlon, swimming, sailing, extreme endurance, surfing, climbing, paddle boarding, kite-surfing and beyond and take a fresh look at more mainstream sports like football, rugby and cricket.

Everyone involved has a tale to tell, whether that’s someone starting out in a sport for the first time or someone who has decades of experience, the record breakers or those who participate to better their own goals.
We will follow those that travel to mountains and oceans to follow their dreams and those that use and challenge their abilities to raise money for charity.

How we can live more healthily and support active lifestyles will also be covered with nutritional advice and recipes.
The magazine will be supported by this website, which will be a hub of information including a comprehensive events calendar. It will also host live streams in conjunction with Spike Media.

We need to hear from you too, whether you have a story to tell, an event to promote, or some ideas for content. This is the beginning of the journey and we would love you to come along with us.

Our editor Nick Mann is an experienced journalist having worked as news editor and assistant editor at the Guernsey Press. He is also a keen endurance athlete, likely to be found running around the coastal paths and sometimes wondering if he should take up triathlon again.

Here at ActiveGsy we want to play our part in promoting a healthy and successful Guernsey for all.
