Ladies’ Pool reopens in time for Easter
The Ladies’ Pool at La Vallette will reopen tomorrow.
It follows the delayed completion of work on the site with renovations now moving on to the Children’s Pool from Thursday.
Concrete surfaces have been restored and some of the pool walls repaired and underpinned.
In an attempt to reduce leaks, the granite capping has been re-pointed.
The pool will be deeper after it was drained and silt and sand removed from the shallower northern half.
A granite retaining wall was built at the foot of a steep grassy bank at the northern corner of the site.
Work on the Children’s Pool is expected to be completed by July.
It will be shut from Thursday.
The Ladies’ Pool will be closed on Thursday 28 April for cleaning.
